Business Placement Opportunities

The Unite with Business project are providing the opportunity for students and graduates to gain paid work in a business on a meaningful project relevant to their studies.

Here’s the low-down on eligibility and how to go about applying for the scheme:

How long would the placement last?

140 hours – Students/graduates can work from company premises or the work can be research and desk based from campus or their home. The project can be full time or part time; this would be negotiated to suit both the company and the student/graduate.

Will a student/graduate’s skills and knowledge be matched with an appropriate business project?

YES, this programme works with businesses that require additional skills and knowledge to achieve specific projects. Students/graduates are recruited on the basis of their skills, knowledge and ability.

How much are students/graduates paid?

The Unite with Business programme will pay students/graduates the national minimum wage for the 140 hours of the placement. The programme is funded through the European Regional Development Fund.

Who is eligible?

The programme is open to any graduate located in the North West regardless of university of study and students studying a higher level qualification (including post graduate).
