Go Furness was conceived in 2008 as part of the Furness Enterprise Encouraging Entrepreneurship project, aimed at providing a rich online resource for people looking to start-up their own business or learn new skills. When the project finished in 2011, We Make Media — the creative agency who had developed and managed the website — agreed to take ownership of the site and its content so that it could continue as a valuable business resource for the region.
