The aim of the course is to give delegates a better understanding of human behaviour together with some useful techniques for dealing with some of the more difficult aspects.
Objectives
It’s part of life to deal with ongoing difficulties. It’s often the way in which we deal with these hardships that makes them better or worse.
There are some really useful behaviours that we can learn to adopt when dealing with aggressive people, passive people and complaining people, that can make handling these situations a lot easier.
By the end of this day you will have learned a very practical, diplomatic way of dealing with conflict in lots of different situations.
This is a great day for anyone who works with other people like colleagues, customers, members of their staff or managers.
*Key Content*
- Understanding types of behaviour
- Examining behaviour in different situations
- A five stage model for assertive behaviour
- Being persuasive and putting forward your views
- Techniques for dealing with verbal aggression
- Handling difficult feedback
The course will be presented by Marylou Booth from Training Works, who has been described as having a “particular skill in relaxing delegates and making sure they enjoy the process, but most importantly she is an excellent trainer!”
