Charity Challenge Campaign Celebration Event

Charity Challenge Campaign Celebration Event – Friday 29th January, The Nines, Barrow-in-Furness.

December saw the end of BAE‘s 2 year long Charity Challenge campaign and they are delighted to announce that the campaign was the most successful to date, raising £586,424 of which £90,000 will be donated to the partner charity: St. Mary’s Hospice.

To celebrate this fantastic achievement the Charity Challenge team will be hosting a Celebration Evening and Ceilidh Dance on Friday 29th January at The Nines, Barrow-in-Furness. The event will start at 7:30pm (seated by 8pm for dinner) with drinks on arrival and will include a traditional Burns Supper of Haggis (there will be an alternative for those not brave enough to sample the Scottish favourite), a cheque presentation to St. Mary’s Hospice, an absolutely fantastic Ceilidh band all the way form Glasgow and then finishing off the evening with a DJ. Tickets are priced at £10.

Never heard of a Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) before? Come along and give it a go! Don’t worry about not knowing the dances as the band and their caller will take you through each dance step-by-step before they get started in earnest… and even if you muck up and just twirl each other hell-for-leather while whooping excitedly, that’s part of the fun anyway!
