iTeddy designer talks to Young Professionals

The Evening Mail have a great write-up on the recent talk Imran Hakim gave at an FYP event. We’ve also got some cracking photos from the event.

The article, by Amy Fenton, includes some of Imran’s wise words of advice for new business start-ups.

“Despite the recession, there are some active areas of investment at the moment. Challenge existing business models – marry traditional offline businesses with an online model.

“Anything green – anything that makes a business greener. If you can even just take an existing process and create a way of making it cheaper and greener.

“Social media and new ways of traditional sales models – what Apple have done very well is the way they have completely engaged with their user with regards to the appstore and allowing businesses to sell through them for a fee.”
