Ulverston MD crowned International Director of the Year by IoD
Peter Barton, Managing Director of Ulverston based Forge Europa, is celebrating after being crowned International Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors in the North West. Peter fought off stiff competition from fellow finalists Stewart Chambers of NSG, Jeremy Gorick of IoTech and former BBC show Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Imran Hakim of iTeddy.
But Peter is man of the moment after winning the grand prize and title. The winners were announced on 18th September at the City of Manchester Stadium in a glitzy awards ceremony hosted by well-known sports presenter, Gabby Logan, and seen here with happy winner, Peter.
Darrell Matthews, North West Regional Director for the IoD, said of the shortlist; “Those short-listed are a testament to the impressive expertise and strong leaders that exist across the North West, who provide inspiration for other business leaders across the region.”
Peter Barton is the founder and Managing Director of Forge Europa. He has led the company which designs, develops and manufactures LED lighting, lamps and displays, to its established position both nationally and internationally at the forefront of low energy solid state lighting.
